Dr. V N Vasudev the Principal Consultant, presented a keynote address on “Exploration for Gold in India – from Target Generation to Resource Assessment” in the International Seminar on Mineral Processing Technology held between 16 – 18 December 2019 in Hyderabad. Favorable geology and supporting laws are the two important criteria needed for India to increase its domestic primary gold production – Dr. Vasudev quoted.

In terms of Geology, Dr. Vasudev indicated ~680t of Gold Resource is available in the Country and about 3,000 t of additional gold resource could be proved. Dr. Vasudev also advocated the need for forming a Gold authority of India to seriously revive the gold mining industry with support act & rules.
